The Moving Adventure

Last week was a complete whirlwind. We had packers come to the house on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then had a huge Budget truck loaded up on Thursday. We also had our wonderful friend Johnny come over on Thursday night to repaint our kitchen, office and master bath. I was sad to see the color leave our house, but it made it easier to leave our first home behind because it really didn't feel like our home anymore with all neutral colors on the wall. We are hoping the change to neutral, along with a lower sales price will entice some buyers. We are so ready to sell that house!! I go tomorrow to pick out paint, cabinets, flooring, light fixtures, etc for the new house - and my biggest worry is that our house won't sell fast enough and that I will be picking things out for a house that won't end up being mine. But I just have to trust God to work out all the details....

Gilbert claims that he will never set foot in another moving truck again. Can you blame him? This is what he drove - with our Murano on the back and 2 dogs in the cab.

He drove all day Friday and all day Saturday. The truck came with a navigation system - but I have no idea what route this system took him. Instead of going through Memphis and Nashville - it took him through Missouri and Kentucky before getting on 65 and crossing into Indiana.

Eva and I flew Saturday night. She was a trooper. Her schedule was all out of whack and she is starting to teethe. We had a 2 hour layover in Charlotte, so I was able to have some yummy North Carolina BBQ (and yes, I like it better than Texas BBQ)!

We are all glad to finally be here. Hopefully we will be able to get unpacked and organized soon - and enjoy our stay at the Cissells!
