Weekend Pictures of Eva

So I couldn't do a huge post with the new house pictures and not have some Eva pics too!

On Friday night I put Eva in her swing so that I could clean up the kitchen. She was watching Diego and from the looks of it - she was enjoying herself!

Gilbert was trying to put this table together and Eva got up on the table top all by herself. She is really into EVERYTHING!

Gilbert wanted me to note that he still has hair. My Meme got him the hat for Christmas and he wears it inside and outside. His hair has gotten quite long and the hat is a great way to keep it out of his face. I would rather a headband, but he won't go there:)

Eva is crawling, pulling herself up, cruising on furniture and standing up on her own. She loves touching and exploring. Today we left her with my Mom so that we could pick up stuff from my sister's. It was the first time that I have left her alone and she didn't cry for me. What?!? Sophia was also over at my Mom's and the girls had fun together. Sophia and Eva even danced together. It was the cutest. Eva LOVES music. She gravitates to any toy that makes music and likes singing with me to the "Little Einsteins" theme song.

When she wants to, Eva can finish an entire jar of food. Her favorites are turkey and vegetable and orange, orange, orange. The later is a baby food that I made her that consists of carrots, sweet potatoes and orange juice. What she really likes is anything that we are eating - especially chicken and rice. She also enjoys any bread and chocolate. Hey - she is my daughter....

Gilbert and I have accomplished quite a bit since we moved in last Wednesday. The house still isn't 100% done, but I feel that it has really become a home.

If you ever need spices, come and see me. I think I have just about every kind there is. And I have a wide assortment of vinegars and oils. It is a bit ridiculous.

In Austin this used to house my liquour and margarita and wine glasses. Those days are over! My liquour is stored away and my glasses are in a cabinet where Eva can not reach! So instead my "drinking cabinet" is filled with kitchedn towels, potholders, bibs and cookbooks. Kids really do change everything:)

Snow!

It started snowing Sunday evening. I am not sure how much we have at the house, but it sure is pretty! Gilbert didn't go to work yesterday and won't go today either. There is ice under the snow and many powerlines and trees are done. It just isn't worth the risk. And I love having him home!

In & Out, Out & In

On Monday Eva wanted to help me with laundry - so she removed each item of clothing for me from the laundry basket. This was great help and very cute - until I started to fold the clean laundry and put it back in the basket. She wanted to pull out everything that I put in! One day she will be a good little helper, but for now I will keep her to pulling things in and out of her toy baskets!
