6 Month Check-Up

We took Eva to the doctor on Friday for her 6 month check-up and shots. I was really dreading the shots based on what reaction Eva had last time, but this time was much better. She actually slept for a good chunk of the day on Friday - much better than the constant screaming that we experienced after her 3 month shots. Good news is she doesn't get anything else until 15 months.

She now weighs 15 lbs and is 26.5 inches long. She is in the 45th percentile for weight and 80th for length. Tall & skinny - our little supermodel:)
We have been trying to get her to take a bottle and have not been very successful. We are also introducing more and more food to her. She really seems to like sweet potatoes - so at least we know she likes something!!

She is getting better about taking naps. Her morning nap is like clockwork now and her afternoon nap is fairly predictable. Sometimes I have to take her in the car to get her to sleep - a small price to pay for some down time:)

She LOVES other children and dogs and will "talk" more to them than to Gilbert or I! She also loves it when we sing to her and move her body. She is also taking more of an interest to the TV. She seems to prefer Elmo and Little Einsteins. We need to read to her more - but right now she is just more interested in holding and chewing on the book than actually looking at it...

At the doctor

She looks a little uncertain.

She is trying to get away from me!

I guess she just wanted to get on the floor!

What is the deal with these boots?
